Challenges From A Poet (Pt. 3)
Lonesomeness is a never ending ache. 1
…
This is why we read.
To be stopped.
To be chopped.
To feel the ghosts
up our spines…
The spirits of those of who have been;
the spirits of those who will be.
People are people, enslaved or free.
Privilege is the power to
choose your most likely destiny.
Don’t squander it:
these choices you’re given.
You decide:
to drive or be driven.
Each of the million million poets
is better at being them
than you will ever be.
Find your heart.
Then…
start.
