Challenges From A Poet (Pt. 2)
round, and round, and round we go.
where it stops, nobody knows.
one thing’s for sure: in the dark, fear grows.
there’s only one thing to do: expose it.
it’s not about the pile of cash, or the grind.
did he grow a tree, or discard a fruitless rind?
long are the days alone, but the nights are longer.
here’s a fundamental truth: together we’re stronger.
move to gold stars and green lights
instead of long nights and deep frights.
the boogie man always thought he could be here
but we learned to turn on the lights and make cheer.
